We are seeking a
TK/Kindergarten Teacher
for the 2024-2025 academic year.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an individual who possesses high expectations, a healthy sense of personal accountability, a strong “teacherly” presence, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills. Our teacher must be able to create a nurturing environment to support the young child’s healthy development through warmth of heart and loving guidance and authority.
Our TK/Kindergarten program combines extensive play-based learning with academic roots based in Waldorf education and LifeWays. With the support of an assistant, our TK/ Kindergarten teacher works with the children on the joy of domestic and practical work and social development. Our teacher must be able to guide and nurture the child through weekly and seasonal rhythms, circle activities, storytelling and puppet shows, painting, sewing, and indoor and outdoor active play.
As an enrichment program, we work with families who are homeschooling and are either enrolled with an independent study charter or have filed their own Private School Affidavit (PSA).
We value excellent teaching and classroom management skills, as well as a deep understanding of child development. We look to our teachers to lead not only the children but also the parents in their education.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced and caring teacher for a small 1st grade class, who possesses a LOVE for the early grades and an enthusiasm for the Waldorf curriculum.
Our 1st-grade teacher carries the primary responsibility for teaching all subjects of the 1st-grade curriculum and is required to have a strong ability to work well with parents and colleagues. Our teachers need to deliver developmentally appropriate instruction rich with music, movement, and art as well as skill development in academic areas.
We look to our 1st-grade teacher to bring warmth, imagination, and nurturing qualities to the classroom while holding the class with loving guidance and classroom management.
Our goal is to help develop a strong community that is supportive of a developmentally appropriate method of education.
This position requires the teacher to loop with the students for 1st - 3rd grade.
As an enrichment program, we work with families who are homeschooling and are either enrolled with an independent study charter or have filed their own Private School Affidavit (PSA).

We are seeking an experienced and caring teacher for a small, combined grade 7/8 class, who possesses a LOVE for middle school students and an enthusiasm for the Waldorf curriculum.
Our goal is to help develop a strong community that is supportive of a developmentally appropriate method of education.
Our Middle School Class teacher carries the primary responsibility for teaching all subjects (some of the blocks include chemistry, anatomy, the American revolution) of the Middle School curriculum and needs to have a strong ability to work well with parents and colleagues. Our teachers deliver developmentally appropriate instruction rich with music, movement, and art as well as skill development in academic areas.
As an enrichment program, we work with families who are homeschooling and are either enrolled with an independent study charter or have filed their own Private School Affidavit (PSA).

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our substitutes fill the roll of our Learning Coaches, Lead Teachers, and Specialty Class Teachers.
Our substitutes will engage students in curriculum, as prepared by the lead teachers.
Deliver lessons for various subjects in an engaging, thoughtful manner, combining traditional Waldorf topics with an attentiveness to equity issues in both the curriculum and the classroom
Possess strong classroom management skills
Adapt and differentiate teaching styles to student needs and interests, in collaboration with other teachers and our learning support team

Our Handwork teachers are the guide for the students down the path of learning how to create textiles, sculptures, clothing, and more with their hands.
JOB DESCRIPTION
For the 2024-2025 school year, we are looking for a Handwork Teacher to join our Willow Tree community. Our handwork teachers will work with our 1st - 3rd graders 2x per week to help them learn how to knit, crochet, and other basic handwork skills.
Our teachers need to have excellent interpersonal skills and a desire for warm collegiality with educational peers. We need professionals with a passion for co-creating, collaboration, and teamwork. We are looking for individuals who possess a strong sense of personal accountability, a positive attitude, and exceptional communication skills. Along with these characteristics, we desire someone who can foster warm relationships with families and children.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 1 year sxperience teaching knitting, crochet, and other handwork skills to young children
*Previous Waldorf training and/or an openness to Waldorf pedagogy is preferred but not required*

COMPENSATION
This is a Part-Time position:
Mon-Thurs. 1:00 - 3:00.
We offer a competitive hourly rate based on years of teaching experience.
